Concorde and Tuileries garden
Hello,
Yesterday was a sunny - although cold - journey in Paris(^-^). So I decided to go out and take some pictures, saying - why not posting some pictures of Paris in my blog today??
So I went out to Tuileries garden, place de la Concorde and Musee du Louvre. You can check the official website here : http://www.louvre.fr/llv/musee/alaune.jsp?bmLocale=en
Site is available in french - of course - and also English and japanese, their main clients. But as you may have seen websites never render a place "for real". It's the same when you book a hotel : you have the official website of the hotel, and the travellers photos, which render better the informations. So, though my pictures I have taken yesterday I will show you an area you must visit when you're in Paris, Concorde area^^
From Place de la Concorde in Paris, in one side you have the world-famous Hotel Crillon. The
double room rate starts at 750 EUR, to reach about 8500 EUR in one of
the suites. If you think Hotel Crillon is too expensive, but want to
have a souvenir of the place, you can brunch in the Crillon, every sunday. It's an unforgettable experience, more informations here : http://www.crillon.com/crillon.html
The brunch in the Crillon costs up to 70 EUR, but
Many
palaces in Paris offers this kind of service. But sometimes people
think they cannot have a drink in a palace if they are not guests of
the hotel. Wrong, you can. And often, for 2 or 3 euro more, you will
have a real coffee, or a real cup of tea, and a real service. Paying
his coffee 7 EUR in this wonderful place definitely worth. And how chic^_^. Feel free to ask your guide more informations.
Here is Hell entrance^^
From
this door situated in Place de la Concorde, you can directly reach the
Louvre pyramid. Here is Tuileries garden, planted by Catherine de
Medicis in 1534. There was a castle here, but it was burnt during the
french Revolution. It is today one of the favourite garden of parisians.
If you have a good camera ( I mean not like mine today^^ )
You could take this picture, with the Arc de Triomphe in the background
The obelisk in front of the Arc de Triomphe is around 5300 years-old!! It's a gift of Egypt. It was brought in Paris in 1836.
Winter is not the best season to come in Paris^^ sad colors, but pictures are not retouched, if you come in Paris in winter you may find those colors.
